What’s up everyone, my name is Clay McCann.

I’m from Taos, New Mexico. The soul of the southwest. It’s crazy how time flies, but I have been tattooing now for 14 years. My tattoo journey first began in Denver, Colorado where I eventually owned my own shop. I’ve become versed in several styles, but I take special interest in neo-traditional Japanese and American tattooing. Japanese tattoos are so vast in mythology, boldness, and delicacy. During the years of 2006 to 2008 I lived in Taiwan and spent time learning the language, studying the artwork, and immersing myself in their culture.

Custom pieces are something I really enjoy working on. Everyone is so unique in their personal story, ideas, and interests and I love making their story come to life in tattoo. I’m really into art, but also have other great loves in my life: snowboarding, welding, camping, martial arts (Muy thai specifically), and of course my wife Angie and our two beautiful daughters.
